Nicely done :) I very nearly won this battle. I bulked up my forces in the central hill, pulling the samurai by Hideki to the middle of the hill and my spearmen at the bottom. The force by my general secured the chokepoint just north of the middle hill (2 archers and 2 spearmen) and amazingly fought off, for the most part, the force that attacks your general. I managed to wittle the enemy down to about 700 men (mixed samurai) mostly hideki's men, But I was only left with around 160 Samurai cavalry, who were exhausted. Their downhill charges managed to kill around 150 or so but it was too much and they then proceeded to rout. ;[ so close!

I love love love Ashley Wood. I would agree that he's not a writer, his style is so pecular that it's beautiful. The sketchiness is really drives the action.
I'm an aspiring graphic novelist myself, although I spend a good deal of my time on the story and character development is very important to me. I'm hoping to create books with compelling characters and epic stories, while utilizing my own brand of "Wood" style sketchiness. We'll see how that goes.

Jon fjorg, you i must say are full of CRAP. First of all, ive played halo 1, 2, AND 3. their story-line is shit. Ooh, go shoot aliens that want to kill all humans. I like the halo games. but their story aspects are nothing special. Also, halo 3 and halo reach where made in 2006 and 2010. More advanced tech. Half life 2 was being developed from 2000-2004. At its time it was shocking. Also, Better customization? ARE YOU SHITTING ME? DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT A MOD IS? oh, you dont. you play 360. Half life 2 has millions of fan made maps, items, and even Entire games based on the engine. halo 3 you can wear recon and paint your face blue. real customizable. And also, Half life 2 was not meant for multiplayer. it was a single player experience where you where supposed to enjoy the story. Yes, halo 3 has better multi-player than half life 2 (Hl2 HAS no multiplayer) But multi-player in halo 3 isnt very unique. just basic shoot the balls out of people with lasers. The animation and dialog in HL2 is part of the story and not very many games have beaten or matched it. And you dont just slam the f*cking keyboard all day jerk.

Halo is a good franchise, but Half life 2 is in my opinion a better game. Dont talk shit about games and the players because you never played for more than 10 minutes and love to play console. Play hl2 on the pc and go look up "Half life 2 moddb" and scroll thru the mod section or buy gmod. Btw: half life 2 has a build your own map program. its just not in-game because if it was it would suck butt because you can just add crap to pre made maps.

i have recently played half life 2 and my first thoughts were a bit mixed, i thought the start of the game where you were taken to some kind of prison camp was a very interesting way to start, to then having to escape.
i thought some of the level designs were very well done and the graphics were top notch, some puzzles were challenging(which i appreciate in games) and i thought enemies were very tough at times which is a good challenge.

A few problems i did have with the game was the game play, now i do like first person shooters but i thought the game play was very bland at times shooting countless number of enemies, i also found that even if under cover you could be shot at which was another gripe i had unfortunately.
and people saying this game was easy i have to disagree, maybe i suck at these type of games or what but i did find game play annoying at times with enemies being way too difficult.
i also think they could have widened levels so there was more to explore and a map would have been a nice feature.

my personal opinion if i had to give a score i would say a decent 7/10, this game wont be for everyone and at its cheap price now days i would give it a shot if you are into first person shooters.
